I bought an orange capsicum at the greengrocer last year and saved the seed. I thought it would probably be a hybrid and the seed wouldn’t come true, but I sowed it anyway, last spring. I planted half a dozen plants and the fruits are only just starting to ripen.
Looks like it’s going to come true:

I often save capsicum and chilli seed from a variety of places and I do find they normally come true. In fact I can’t really remember any that haven’t. Yours look lovely – pretty colour.

Most of my capsicum don’t grow so to see an amazing true to type seed variety from a shop bought capsicum is fantastic :). Be sure to save the seed from your own grown capsicums, those “coloured” ones are expensive in the shops. I bought a “white” capsicum for $7 and it turned out to be a red one…mutter…mutter…MUTTER! 😉
