Steve Marsh Loses His Case to be GM Free
I really thought he had a chance.
All the more reason for growing your own GM free food.
It makes me angry to think that his nasty, selfish neighbour has gotten away with it!

This had me in tears of anger. 😦 My guts had dropped out as the precedent has now been set that conventional farmers or GM farmers can do what they want with impunity. No consequences. No punishment. Not even a slap over the wrist! 😦

Buckle your seatbelts ladies and gentlemen. You (them, not you FnS) are in front row seats to watch the world go to pot! Enjoy it. 😦

Had a beautiful, eloquent response ready to post and hit the wrong button! abridged version- Absolute disgrace, no precedent now for future cases. Corporate intervention at large? Is in line with recent political decisions to completely disregard environmental issues, etc, etc, etc. Not happy Jan!

I used to be proud to be an Aussie. Not any more. We are fast becoming a laughing stock for the rest of the increasingly-aware world.

Such a shame for all the world’s people wanting GM-free anything! And to think Canada is so far ahead of us keeping GM crops at bay and getting a premium for their product! They simply can’t keep up with demand. 😦

That’s the problem with having a scientifically ignorant government and some likewise farmers, apparently.

It’s disgudsting. I couldn’t believe they based the claim that NAASA was wrong to decertify Steve’s farm, therefore there were no real damages to Steve’s farm. What a load of bollocks!

Particularly when the neighbour admitted that he only ‘skimmed’ through the information Steve gave him to read and that he planted his GM crop adjacent to Steve’s farm even when advised to plant it elsewhere.

Doesn’t stop mobs from burning that GM crop in the night…just sayin’…they can take away your rights on paper but can they stop a mass of people hell bent on taking back their rights? Lets just see shall we?
