I think it should be possible, if the tree has enough energy to fuel the apple growth. I expect it would need a lot of feeding and is a lot of work for one apple, but could be done.

I’m going to try it. I did some bonsai many years ago. I just sowed some apple seeds.
Do you think it’s possible? One commenter thought it was phony—that the apples should be tiny and not regular size.
